Emerging Market Fellowship

A Unique Program

The EMF resolves around two components: emerging markets and social business. It offers students a first-hand view on the reality of emerging markets and make them discover ground-breaking approaches to social-oriented business.

No first-hand view in classes. This year's destination: Jujuy, in Argentina.

A New Perspective on Business - The Dynamics of Emerging Markets and the Need for Social Inclusion

Poverty, corruption and political instability create extreme conditions for whom wishes to do businesses in emerging markets. Jujuy is a perfect example. The Emerging Market Fellowship brought 15 HSG students on the field to discover the reality of such conditions, and what it implies for businesses. Why should businesses be social-oriented in such poor regions? Why is doing business in Latin America different than in Europe? How can businesses be successful in such extreme conditions? The EMF sets these questions at the core of its program.
